Connected Studio is a new approach to deliver innovation at scale by bringing BBC staff closer to the wider Digital industry.  The first event was held in May 2011 with 60 people working on new ideas for the BBC Homepage.  Nearly 3 years on we have worked all the 10 BBC Online Products from CBBC to Sport, delivering 27 Pilots, 8 of which are in the Production Pipeline – and now we are making our way into TV following a successful collaboration with BBC Comedy “Inside No.9”.

Join the BBC Connected Studio for this thought provoking and inspirational workshop, as we search for the answer for "What will the media look like in the future?" You will get the opportunity to explore and interrogate the BBC’s R&D technology and expertise, develop your own visions, build a small scale prototype and pitch your ideas back to the group. Your prototypes will then be put on display and judged by the public throughout the festival, with the winner being announced on-stage during the FutureEverything conference.

There are further possibilities for you and your idea to be taken to a two week Studio Sprint for further development within the BBC R&D Lab.

This workshop lasts for three hours, and has limited spaces, so sign up now, and form your own vision of future media...

Presented as part of City Fictions, a speculative near future city. Institution: media.
