Learn how to sketch out a design from scratch and use creative prototyping skills to make the wearable gadget of the future. Over the duration of the workshop participants will learn from experts on how to take inspiration from the gallery collection and the history of making in the region to bring designs and ideas to life.
This workshop delivered by Hirsch & Mann is for those aged 7–11 and will focus on hands on making using diverse materials and Little Bits, a starter level electronics tool kit to rapidly test ideas. Using the Design for Life exhibition currently hosted at the Shipley Art Gallery as inspiration, participants will be create a new set of everyday and wearable objects that will benefit citizens of the future.
