To date, government transparency and civic innovation have been a key driver of the open data movement. However, in recent years the debate has seen a shift toward leveraging commercial opportunity and a drive to build scalable open data business models.
In response to this challenge, FutureEverything, alongside the Digital Catapult and Future Cities Catapults are collaborating with citizens, entrepreneurs and public servants in the development of new open data based services.
Following December’s Open Data Use Case Workshop and Talk with the Spend Network, FutureEverything is hosting a second stage event to further explore and develop service concepts emerging from the programme. We encourage you to join us on 29 January to participate in the design process.
This free afternoon workshop will appeal to digital and creative professionals, urbanists, public-servants, open data advocates, and civic innovators. Carefully curated concepts will be developed into functioning prototypes at the FutureEverything Festival, 25-28 Feb 2015.
