To celebrate the world premiere of Ed Carter & David Cranmer’s FutureEverything commission Smoke Signals at FutureEverything 2016, we’ve tasked a series of musicians to create unique, one-off performances in response to this haunting sonic and visual installation. Using Anthony Burgess’s very own piano, these evenings, held at the International Anthony Burgess Foundation, are not to be missed.
Jo Dudderidge is musician, songwriter and producer in The Travelling Band and pianist for Ren Harvieu, Lissie and Jo Rose. He will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Harry Fausing Smith, a musician, composer and committed inter-disciplinarian, and member of the experimental group Pope Vivian.
Smoke Signals has been presented as part of ArtsAPI, a year-long project by FutureEverything (lead arts organisation), University of Dundee (academic partner) and Swirrl (technology partner), made possible through the Digital R&D Fund for the Arts.
