FutureEverything Moscow presents a showcase of UK electronic pioneers, featuring a new performance by electronic artist Evian Christ, and the world premiere of a new commission, ‘The Well’ by electronic musician Koreless and live visual artist Emmanuel Biard.

Commissioned by FutureEverything for FutureEverything Moscow, ‘The Well’ features a rescoring of Koreless’ work for a 5 piece male voice choir, combined with a bespoke structural and light installation by Biard. The work builds on their collaboration at the FutureEverything Festival with ‘The Hall’ (March 2014).

Growing up in Wales and now a resident of Glasgow, Koreless has been making music since he was nine years old. Inspired by Jazz greats such as John Coltrane, he then went onto to discover electronic music and created the Koreless moniker in 2008. Since early 2010, Koreless has received support from Jamie XX, Jacques Greene, Sepalcure, Mark Pritchard and Mount Kimbie plus BBC Radio 1 promotion from Benji B and Gilles Peterson, culminating in the release of the critically acclaimed ‘Yugen’ on Young Turks in 2013.

Since the release of his breakthrough mixtape Kings And Them on Tri Angle Records in February 2012, Evian Christ has performed to critical acclaim alongside musical collaborators Purity Ring, Actress and Four Tet, as well as producing ‘I’m In It’ on Kanye West’s Yeezus. While recognised internationally for his unique flavour of hip-hop influenced fluid house music, Evian Christ’s recent productions have demonstrated a dark introspective style, an approach also seen during his recent sound art installation with Matthew Barney. Here Evian Christ presents a new live show devised by Manchester-based live visual artist Emmanuel Biard, which was commissioned and debuted at FutureEverything Festival (March 2014).

Young Fathers are no longer able to perform due to illness. The world premiere of Koreless & Emmanuel Biard: The Well and Evian Christ will go ahead as planned at ArtPlay at 22:00, priced at just 500 RUB.

Existing ticketholders can also gain entry to 10 Years of Hyperdub on Saturday 22nd November at no extra cost.

Presented by FutureEverything and British Council Russia in association with Brand Farm.
