Our friends and collaborators at Kendal Calling have announced a series of funded commissions for artists and arts organisations, to present work at their 2015 Festival.

In partnership with Walk the Plank and supported by Arts Council England, the Festival will be making a series of awards to individuals and organisations wishing to produce new artworks to be presented as part of their 2015 programme, in a newly launched woodland area, Lost Eden. The commissions will be presented alongside other programmed installations and performances.

Commissions from £1,000 – £4,000 are available for successful applicants. Submissions are welcomed that explore literature, music, visual arts, the performing arts, digital media or performance, or any combination of these. If the project is literature related, it can include creative reading activities, creative writing, or text based arts – for example, visual art or sound art projects which have a strong text / literature element.

Lost Eden builds on Beyond Infinity, the 2014 Kendal Calling art programme, a partnership between FutureEverything, Kendal Calling and Eden Arts, supported by Arts Council England.
