Carlo Buontempo is a senior climate scientists at Met Office where he leads the climate service development team at the Met Office. Carlo, who is a physicist by training, has spent  the last 15 years working on the interface between climate monitoring & modelling and the users. Carlo led a number of international projects involving the provision of climate related information to inform decisions and policies at regional, national and international level in both the private and the public sector. Since 2012 Carlo is the science coordinator of EUPORIAS a project funded by the European Commission through its seventh framework programme to develop climate services in Europe.
