Ingrid Burrington writes, makes maps, and tells jokes about power, politics, and the weird feelings people have about both. She has written on Drones for Art 24 magazine and is currently one of the organisers of conference, which served as inspiration for this year’s Haunted Machines mini-conference.

She’s currently a fellow at the Data and Society Research Institute and a member of Deep Lab, a congress of cyberfeminist researchers, organized by STUDIO Fellow Addie Wagenknecht to examine how the themes of privacy, security, surveillance, anonymity, and large-scale data aggregation are problematized in the arts, culture and society. In Spring 2014 she held a residency at art and technology centre Eyebeam, and lives on a small island off the coast of America.
