FutureEverything is proud to be supporting the development of the Stockport Creative Campus. This exciting project, funded by the Cultural Development Fund (CDF), will boost creative and digital industries in the town, with a focus on establishing an enterprise hub and innovation community.
The Stockport Creative Campus will kick-start the town’s creative ecosystem, creating opportunities for digital artists and creatives to grow professionally, share knowledge, showcase work, collaborate, and network across vibrant and varied communities of expertise. The Campus will provide a much-needed platform for individuals in the town who may not have had access to such opportunities before.
Cllr Elise Wilson, Leader of Stockport Council said:
‘It will help to ensure that our creative industries here in Stockport are well supported and will give us a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our offer to the creative sector. Improving digital skills is one of the council’s key priorities, arming residents with the tools they need to secure jobs and improve their employability.
“As well as this, our projects will repurpose a number of buildings in the town centre and will create an ‘ecosystem’ of creative businesses, attracting more people to Stockport and creating a thriving, creative community…’
As a key partner in the Stockport Creative Campus over a 3-year period, Future Everything is excited to be a part of this innovative project. We will iconsult with the local arts and cultural sector, communities, and businesses in the town , allowing us to better understand their needs and expectations from the project. This consultation will inform the following two years of our curation and delivery of a digital arts and cultural heritage programme as a neighbourhood attractor, drawing an audience of over 100,000 each year.
We believe that the Stockport Creative Campus has the potential to transform the cultural landscape of the town, creating opportunities for digital artists and creatives to grow professionally, share knowledge, showcase work, collaborate, and network across vibrant and varied communities of expertise.
