this place [of mine] wins creative design award

this place [of mine] picks up CSS Design Awards across four categories, including industry and public votes

We’re delighted to announce that this place [of mine] has won four prestigious CSS Design Awards for the immersive online hub – a virtual playground of digital artworks and ideas for the future high street!

The website was created in collaboration with Studio Treble, who designed and built the 3D world, and developed through online creative workshops with our ten Young Producers from Greater Manchester. The online experience features artworks and ideas from the Young Producers, as well as five new digital artworks by artists James Medd, Izzy Bolt, David McFarlane, Jacob Bolton and Joseph Whitmore. The website also features the overall programme brand design by recent Manchester School of Art grad, Jada Giwa.

Not only did this place [of mine] win Website of the Day, as voted for by industry experts, but we also took a clean sweep in the public vote categories for: Best UI Design, Best UX Design and Best Innovation. Wow!

These awards are testament to the amazing work of all of our collaborators and dedicated in-house team, who all came together to collaborate online against the backdrop of the pandemic. We are so proud of the level of creativity and innovation of everyone involved, and believe this shows how important the role of art, culture and creativity can be to the changing role of our high streets and town centres. Not least what happens when you put young people’s voices at the centre!

You can experience the immersive world and digital artworks for yourself at thisplaceofmine.org
