Our innovative and bold creative development programme for creatives across the North looking to enhance their digital skills and learning

FutureEverything is excited to present PROTO, a groundbreaking new programme designed to nurture and encourage the growth of artists looking to enhance their digital creativity through skill development, digital learning and networking.

The programme aims to remove barriers to digital arts, ensuring that all artists, regardless of their background or experience level, have the opportunity to gain insight into digital arts practices, build confidence, and expand their knowledge.

Our ambition is to establish an end-to-end opportunity pathway for artists to progress through the PROTO programme. By providing access to high-quality resources, expert advice, and a vibrant community of peers, PROTO seeks to empower artists to achieve their full creative potential and make a meaningful impact within their arts community.

For nearly 30 years, FutureEverything has been at the forefront of supporting the development of artists and digital arts practices across the UK and beyond. With PROTO, we are building on this legacy, leveraging our extensive experience and expertise in the field of art and technology to create a programme that is both cutting-edge and deeply inclusive.

Funded by Arts Council England and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), the initiative aims to transform the way artists from regions across the North develop their creative skills, learn about the latest advances in digital arts practice, while connecting with the wider arts community.

PROTO is not just about skill development; it’s about creating an inclusive and supportive environment where artists can thrive. The PROTO programme aims to support artists ranging from emerging artists, mid-career artists and non-professionals with an emphasis on underrepresented communities in the arts sector.
