Anna FC Smith is a Wigan (UK) based, nationally and internationally exhibited, multimedia artist and arts educator. Her work explores ritual, folk culture, communal activity, social power, and place and environment, through historical research, co-creation and creative engagement. Inspired by historical and present-day material culture, connected to community, ecology, myth, place, and the dynamics of everyday politics, she produces sculpture, installation, performance, research texts, and group actions that find common ground in contemporary concerns.

As part of the PROTO creative engagement programme, designed to support artists in the North in developing their digital skills and creative practice, Anna has been commissioned by FutureEverything to create a new digital artwork. Her piece will be exhibited at the new Stockroom venue in Stockport from May 23rd to June 30th, 2025.
