Councillor Elise Wilson is the Leader of Stockport Council – which is one of the 10 local authorities which make up the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA).
She was elected as a Labour Councillor in the Davenport and Cale Green Ward in 2014. Prior to becoming Leader of Stockport Council in May 2019, she served as Cabinet Member with responsibility for Reform and Governance. Cllr Wilson is also currently Greater Manchester’s Lead Member for Digital City Region.
Stockport is an ambitious local authority, with exciting developments taking shape that will deliver real benefits for its 260,000 residents and 16,000 businesses.
Born and raised in Stockport, Councillor Wilson, who runs a local business in the Borough, is married with three children.
