Profile: Louise Robson

Digital Artist, The Digital Imagination workshop

Louise Robson is a practising digital artist, runs The Digital Imagination Workshop, and coordinates the creative program at Wigan STEAM. Her current work with her newly established company The Digital Imagination Workshop is focused on digital inclusion within older people and with families living in deprived areas. The work is centred on making and crafts activities which require some level of engagement with the internet and technology, which allows people to familiarise themselves with technology in a safe and relaxed setting.

At Wigan STEAM Louise coordinates the creative program of exhibitions, workshops, and other creative events, all built around the idea that creativity is a necessity for people to develop the skills that they need in order to lead rich, fulfilling and empowered lives.

Within her arts practise she is interested in data and feedback. Her most recent artwork, currently on show at The Fire Within exhibition in The Galleries, Wigan, is a data visualisation built in Processing which portrays dwindling visitor figures for the shopping centre.
