Richard Evans is a musician, writer and filmmaker. His projects include Sentinel, a critically acclaimed album and live production which blends electronic music with data visualisations, laser lighting and video content in an exploration of climate change. The show has been presented at festivals across the country and most recently, as a large scale outdoor production with visuals projected onto building exteriors.
His writing work includes a number of short stories and a novel released through publishers including Serpent’s Tail, Litro Magazine and Dead Ink. Subject matter ranges from robotics, to viral outbreaks, to a Cold War era thriller exploring a twist on the urban myth of the lost cosmonaut.
He has developed two apps, Persona (2013) and Aeon (2016), which blended short form video, text and digital content in narratives exploring synthetic biology and a global pandemic. Between 2016 and 2018, Aeon expanded from an app into a series of immersive theatre experiences.
Richard’s projects have been developed with support from Arts Council England and Creative UK.
