Sam Burton is a writer, researcher, and activist who has worked at the intersections between culture, technology, and human rights for over a decade. She is currently the Director, Insights at the Mozilla Foundation. At Mozilla, her team leads projects like as the Internet Health Report, which help us better understand our relationships with technology and build a digital world that puts people first. Prior to joining Mozilla, Sam worked with diverse organizations including Engineers Without Borders Canada, the Aga Khan Foundation, and the International Freedom of Expression eXchange. She holds an MA in Communications from Carleton University and a BA in Media in the Public Interest from Western University.
