My practice is broadly focused on the themes of physical and digital social structures. More specifically, as an anthropological observation, I incorporate the swirling vortex of digital culture, geopolitics, climate change, conspiracy theories and identity politics, to create artworks that challenge our socio-political environment. This is all syphoned through the filter of contingent truth. That is truth that can be considered so, based on information that is presented as fact. This leads to work that is simultaneously a ‘factual’ observation and a surreal fantasy presented as a potential future.

As part of the PROTO creative engagement programme, designed to support artists in the North in developing their digital skills and creative practice, Thomas has been commissioned by FutureEverything to create a new digital artwork. The piece will be exhibited at the new Stockroom venue in Stockport from May 23rd to June 30th, 2025.
