Profile: Vicky Sward- Daniels

Arts Council England Programme Lead at Julie’s Bicycle & Nature Directed Working Group Member

Vicky Sward- Daniels is the Arts Council England Programme Lead at Julie’s Bicycle, where her work brings environmental knowledge and evidence together with the arts the cultural sector to leverage and inspire collective action on climate change. In her role, she works to support and enable cultural actors to share their learning and experiences on environmental action, and to support cultural leadership centred on themes of climate resilience, decarbonisation, governance and justice.

Vicky’s career is rooted in exploring the connections between environment, society and culture, and in developing creative approaches to research, evidence and learning to understand and foster impact. Vicky has over 15 years of experience working at the interface between research and practice in the field of climate and disaster resilience, and has worked across sectors including culture, engineering, academia and international development. Vicky has a Doctorate in Urban Sustainability and Resilience. She is on the Advisory Committee for the Research Ireland Centre for Applied Geosciences (ICRAG) Education and Public Engagement Team, and is a trustee at South East Dance.
