On Hayley Kerridge

Communications Manager, 2017, 2020–2026

Hayley Kerridge has a rare talent for bringing complex ideas to life – through content, film and storytelling that connects organisations with their audiences and makes meaning where it might otherwise be missed. She brought that talent to FutureEverything across six years, first joining in 2017 and returning in 2020 to take on a central role in the organisation's communications and creative output.

Her contribution spanned the full breadth of communications leadership: developing and implementing the organisation's communications strategy, conducting strategic reviews of internal and external communications and audience development, managing multiple rebuilds of its website, and navigating significant organisational transitions with skill and steadiness – including changes in creative direction, the loss of NPO status, and the landmark appointment of Nature to the Board of Directors. That last moment required communicating something genuinely unprecedented in the cultural sector, and Hayley handled it with the clarity and confidence that characterised all her work.

Alongside her communications role, Hayley was Lead Producer on PROTO – a ground-breaking eight-month artist engagement programme across Barnsley, Doncaster, Leigh and Stockport, supporting 270 artists to develop their digital practice, build networks, and engage with international creative practitioners. It was a substantial and demanding undertaking, and she delivered it with the same quality she brought to everything.

Film and storytelling are at the heart of what she wants to do next. She is passionate about continuing to shape stories and develop projects through those forms, and is committed to supporting local artists and grassroots collectives alongside developing her own practice as a producer in film and the arts.
