An important message to our supporters

For 30 years, FutureEverything has pioneered work at the intersection of art, technology, and society, collaborating with a global movement of artists and technologists.
We are now facing a serious financial challenge that puts our future at risk.

As an organisation whose DNA is to push boundaries, FutureEverything has constantly evolved and reinvented itself. Now, in response to the ecological crisis, we have pivoted to pathfind new ways of living with technology for human and planetary flourishing. Through a programme of creative R&D, tech prototyping, and artist skills development we imagine and catalyse futures grounded in just relations with technologies.

We are guided in this by Nature Directed, a trail-blazing initiative to restructure our organisation and behaviours guided by Nature as an active participant in everything we do. In today’s funding climate, this ground-breaking work is not easy to resource. The landscape has become increasingly challenging to navigate, with funding streams shrinking and becoming more risk averse.

Since FutureEverything ceased to be an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation in 2024, we have established a range of partnerships and resources across multiple sectors, and rolled out Innovation Labs and Nature Directed Incubator service offers. Operating with a small team, we have continued to be an influential voice, delivering high-quality projects on a local, national and global level.

Despite the best efforts of our staff and trustees, we are now running out of financial runway. We need to secure income for 12 months of organisational core costs to continue to deliver our creative programme and secure the funding to work with key partners to make our mission a reality. Without this, FutureEverything will close in April 2026.

We are actively exploring ways to sustain FutureEverything. This includes ongoing conversations with partners and stakeholders, as well as opening up new discussions with individuals and organisations who may be able to help. We know that continuing this work will require collective effort rather than a single solution. If you would like to be part of these conversations, please contact us at info@futureeverything.org.

We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our deep gratitude to the artists, collaborators, and partners who have supported, and continue to support FutureEverything during this challenging time. Your continued belief in this work reminds us that it matters.
